4.TWENTY-FIVE PLAYER RAID ZONES-4.3Tier Two,Serpentshrine Cavern-5

Leotheras The Blind
To get to Leotheras the Blind’s room, go down the corridor between the third and fourth circular platforms that surround the Strange Pool. Follow this platform to the left to enter the corridor that leads to Leotheras’ room.
Abilities
Leotheras the Blind has almost 4,000,000 hit points and enrages after being engaged for 10 minutes. He switches between humanoid and demon form and eventually splits into both forms. His melee hits do around 3,000 damage points to tanks.
Chaos Blast: Leotheras casts this spell in Demon Form. He casts it on a single target that does an initial burst of 100 fire damage points. It also places a debuff on the target that stacks to 20 and lasts for 45 seconds. Each debuff increases fire damage taken by the target by 1,500 at a minimum. It also does AoE damage to anyone standing within 8 yards of the aggro target.
Inner Demon: Another Demon Form ability that targets up to five random raid members and summons inner demons mobs. Each of the mobs has 11,000 hit points and can only be damaged and killed by the player it was summoned for during this phase.
Whirlwind: While in humanoid form, Leotheras spins around the room for 15 seconds towards random targets. This ability does an initial burst of 3,000 damage points and places a bleed effect, which is a DoT that lasts for 15 seconds and tick for 2,500 damage, on the target. Whirlwinds can be out-ranged and the idea is to not be hit by Leotheras when he is doing this ability. Once Leotheras stops, all threat is reset.
The Pull and Position

Pull the three adds that are banishing Leotheras. A tank needs to be on each add and both the tanks and the rest of the raid need to be spread out. They can be tanked along the elevated platform closest to the “lights” towards the center of the room. Each add has a Mind Blast ability that does AoE damage for 3,000 to players within 15 yards. Each add also banishes one player at a time until dead. Once they are dead, Leotheras

becomes active as a humanoid. A hunter should Misdirect Leotheras to the main tank. Meanwhile the main tank waits for Leotheras in the middle of the room.
The raid splits into two groups; one group on each sides of the room, with one or two healers on each side that concentrate on healing raid members other than the tanks. On each side, the raid members should still spread out.
Battle
Humanoid Form
The main tank tanks Leotheras the Blind during his humanoid form in the center of the room. This entire phase lasts about 45 seconds. Every 15 seconds, Leotheras does his Whirlwind ability. The main tank then chases Leotheras around the room so that he can pick him up as soon as he comes out of the Whirlwind. During the Whirlwind, melee damage dealers need to back out of the Whirlwind and stop attacking. The tank should be the only melee that takes Whirlwind damage. Ranged casters can keep attacking as long as they stop before he comes out of the Whirlwind. Remember that Whirlwind only lasts for 10 seconds so make sure that damage dealers stop before it ends.
Once the Whirlwind ends, give the tank enough time to reestablish aggro. This usually takes about 5 seconds. Start doing damage after these 5 seconds. Leotheras the Blind does a second Whirlwind after being tanked 15 seconds and then turns into a demon.
Demon Form
A warlock tanks Leotheras the Blind during his Demon form. The warlock stands away from the raid and tanks him at range so the rest of the raid can heal and damage Leotheras without being hit by the Chaos Blast. Keep in mind that where ever Leotheras stops at the end of the 45 second humanoid phase, he remains throughout the duration of the demon phase. The warlock tank as well as the rest of the raid may need to adjust positioning.
To gain aggro on Leotheras in this phase, the warlock should use the Searing Pain spell to generate threat and hold aggro. If necessary, a hunter can Misdirect Leotheras to the warlock each demon phase. If this is the case, two hunters are needed in the raid.

The warlock tank needs to have his felhunter pet out and have the Soul Link talent. The Soul Link talent helps to mitigate the damage Leotheras does to the warlock.

He or she should have at least 250 fire resistance unbuffed as well stamina gear. To assist with this, a shaman with a Fire Resistance Totem or a paladin to keep a Fire Resistance Aura should be placed in his or her group.
Healers assigned to the warlock tank, usually two are enough to keep a warlock tank alive, need to also remember to heal the warlock’s pet. The pet should be off to the side, where it will not get it by Whirlwinds during the humanoid phase or the Chaos Blast during the demon phase. Healers can set the warlock pet as their focus target to be able to quickly target the pet for heals.
After 15 seconds into the fight, he summons the bane of all healers until recently: Inner Demons. Since Blizzard recently added damage bonuses to healing gear, healing classes should not have a problem killing their demons. Each demon must be killed within 30 seconds. If a demon does not die, it mind controls the player it was assigned to for at least 10 minutes, taking the person out of the fight. It is important to note that the player cannot be resurrected during the fight either if the death was Inner Demon related. Anyone besides the current aggro target can get an Inner Demon. Since most damage dealers should be able to kill their demons without a problem, the following is only a list of classes that may have problems. Each class should create a macro to switch back and forth from regular weapons to damage dealing weapons to maximize damage.
?Holy Paladins – Paladins should burn down demons using Consecration, Exorcism, Holy Shock, and Judgment of Righteousness.
?Holy Priests – Priests should first place a DoT on the demon and then cast Power Word: Shield on themselves. Start smiting the demon until it dies.
?Hunters – Pets are buggy here and hunters do not get credit if their pets get the killing blow. Allow the pet to damage and use the pet’s Growl ability until the demon’s health drops to about 15 percent. Put the pet on passive and command it to stay put. Finish the demon.

?Restoration Druids – Demons are susceptible to nature damage so druids get a break. They should start by casting the highest rank Moonfire, then Barkskin on themselves. After casting Barkskin, spam Wrath until the demon dies. If necessary, reapply Moonfire.

?Restoration Shamans – Demons are susceptible to nature damage so shamans get a break. They should cast Earth Shock to interrupt the demon’s spells, Lighting Shield, and then spam Lighting Bolts.
?Tanks – Besides switching weapons, Tanks should bring consumables that increase damage output such as Haste potions and have leather workers use drums that increase attack speed.
This phase lasts for one minute before Leotheras returns to his humanoid form. Once again the tank needs to pick Leotheras up as soon as he returns to this form. These two phases alternate until Leotheras’ health reaches 15 percent.
Split Personality
Both forms must be handled together. The humanoid form retains his 15 percent health but the demon form’s health starts at 100 percent. Concentrate on damaging the humanoid form. Only the warlock tank should be on the demon since the demon still casts Chaos Blast during this phase. Once the humanoid form dies, the demon form despawns.
For this fight, at least one warrior tank and one warlock tank is needed. An off-tank is acceptable if the raid can do enough damage without an additional damage dealer. At least 7 healers are needed for this fight. The warlock tank needs two healers during the Demon Phase and at least two healers are needed for the main tank, especially during the last phase. The three remaining healers heal the other raid members, which do take significant damage. If possible, add another healer so that both sides of the room have healers dedicated to raid healing.
