3.TEN PLAYER RAID ZONES-3.1Tier One,Karazhan-9,10

Chess Event
This is a fun encounter that is before the stairs leading to Prince Malchezaar. It is one of the most unique encounters. This event must be played to get to Prince Malchezaaar.
Chess Piece Abilities
When a player controls a chess piece, a pet bar appears with four keys: two are for movement and two are ability keys.
Bishop
The bishop is the only healing class in the game. The bishop can only move one space at a time in any direction. The bishop’s direct healing spell does 6,000 beneficial points to a single target. The bishop also has an AoE spell that heals friendly targets for 2,000 points as long as they are standing within three squares in front of the bishop.
King
The King can move one square in any direction. Besides his regular melee attacks, he has two abilities. One does 4,000 damage points to a maximum of three enemy units. The other ability increases all the damage

friendly units do by 50 percent. These units must be present on the eight squares adjacent to him. He has a high amount of hit points.
Knight
The knight can move two squares in a direct line and one square diagonally. The knight’s single damage ability does 3,000 damage points to a target. His AoE ability reduces the enemy targets’ damage by 50 percent, provided they are on squares adjacent to his. It lasts for 10 seconds.
Pawn
There are a quite a few of these on the board, blocking the other pieces. They can only move 1 square per move in any direction. The pawn’s direct damage spell does 1,000 damage points to a target on a square in front of it. Pawns have a defensive spell that is similar to shield block, which absorbs 500 damage points.
Queen
The queen can move three squares in a straight line and two squares diagonally. Her abilities are damage dealing and do large amounts of damage. She has a direct damage spell that does 4,000 points to a single target and 6,000 damage points to all targets within an AoE area.
Rook
This chess piece can move one space in any direction. His ability does 1,000 damage points to an enemy target that is one square in front of him. His other ability is a defensive and reduces damage done to the Rook by 50 percent for at least 5 seconds.
The Pull and Position
Start the game by speaking to Medivh. Talk to a piece and select the option to control it.
Battle
Every player chooses a non-pawn piece that they plan to play. They then move the pawn blocking their piece, turn on the pawn’s auto-attack or defend status, and release the pawn. Another way is to some members run from pawn to pawn, moving them while the other players play the king (of course he is offensive, he is strong and does a good bit of damage), queen, knights, and bishops. The pawn players then take up pieces after moving pawns. This allows the offensive pieces and casters to play quickly.

Kill the healers, queen, and then go after the king. Be wary since Medivh has been reported to cheat. He may randomly buff a few of his pieces so hey increase in damage,

size, and speed. Another cheat is to surround the some of the pieces on raid group’s side with fire. Move out of the flames to avoid damage. His last cheat is particularly evil. He heals his king to full health.
This encounter is easy, even with Medivh’s cheating. Once Medivh’s king has been defeated, a chest will appear with the raid group’s rewards. Prince Malchezaar is the only boss left for the raid after completing the Chess Event.
Prince Malchezaar
Prince is located at the top of Karazhan. To get to him follow the steps behind the Chest Event in Gamesman’s Hall. Prince is an opening area called Netherspace.
Abilities
There are three phases to this encounter. Prince Malchezaar has a little over 1 million hit points
Amplify Damage: This debuff doubles damage taken by the target and cannot be dispelled.
Enfeeble: Five random players are targeted by Prince and given the enfeeble debuff. This debuff reduces the players’ health to one hit point for about 7 seconds. At this point, these players need to stay away from Prince to avoid Shadow Nova. Healing spells have no effect on raising hit points of enfeeble targets. Enfeeble is only cast during the first two phases.

Flying Axes: This is a third phase ability that Prince casts on random targets. Each one deals an increasing amount of damage the longer they hit the target. They can not be target.
Infernals: Prince summons these from the sky. They cast an AoE Hellfire a few seconds after landing and remain there for roughly 180 seconds before despawning. Prince summons them during all phases.
Parry: Prince’s parry ability speeds up his next attack by 40 percent.
Shadow Nova: This spell is cast during all phases and can be resisted. It deals 3,000 shadow damage points to all players in under a 30 yard range. It will also knock the player backwards.
Shadow Word: Pain: Only cast during the first and third phases, it can be dispelled and does 1,500 damage per tick to the target.
Sunder Armor: An ability that reduces the target’s armor.
Thrash: A second phase ability that gives Prince the ability to do two rapid melee attacks to his target.
The Pull and Position
The main tank runs into the area and pulls Prince. Allow the tank to position Prince so that the main tank’s back is against a wall. Most guilds start out with Prince being positioned near one of the walls close the entrance.
Melee damage dealers need to stand behind Prince so obviously be ready to move in he needs to be positioned. Healers stand at 30 yards or beyond while ranged damage dealers stand a little further out. The idea is to keep the healing and ranged damage dealing group relatively together so they can move together.
Battle
Before discussing the phases, it is important to note that threat is more delicate during this fight. Normally ranged damage dealers tend to exceed the main tank as long as they stay within 30 percent of the tank. Damage dealers need to be under the main tank throughout this fight to make sure that the tank does not get the enfeeble debuff.

Phase One
During phase one, Prince summons infernals and casts Enfeeble and Shadow Nova spells. He casts his Shadow Word: Pain spell on the tank so a healer may have to run in and out of range to dispel this debuff. To avoid getting kocked back by the shadow nova spell, the tank positions Prince so that the tank’s back is against the wall. Phase one is easies of the phases.
Have a ranged keep an eye out for the infernals as they are summoned. The ranged person will alert the group if they have to move and tell them where to move. This person should also do the same service for the tank since the tank’s view is going to be limited by a hulking demon knee cap. If the infernals start to box the group in uncomfortable, ask the tank to move Prince during this phase since moving during the next phase is more difficult.
Phase Two
Prince’s health drops down to 60 percent and begins the second phase. He stops casting Shadow Word: Pain on the tank but continues to do the other abilities he used during the first phase. He also starts to increase his melee attacks and begins to use them against the main tank. This phase is the most intensive for healers. The tank can easily take over 10,000 damage points within a second. Damage Prince down as soon as possible during this phase since it is the most dangerous phase. Once his health burns down to 30 percent, the third phase begins.
Phase Three
Healers will be relieved to know that damage on the tank returns to normal levels similar the first phase levels. He stops using his melee abilities and casting Efeeble but casts both Amplify Magic and Shadow Word: Pain with more frequency on random raid members. Axes spawn that target random members and those infernals start spawning at an alarming rate. Healers now have to watch the main tank and the axe targets and dispel those with the Shadow Word: Pain debuff.
If this phase continues for too long, the infernals will take over the entire platform. Kill Prince as soon as possible. The raid has roughly 2 minutes to complete this task. This fight is an intense once. Bad luck can easily lead to a wipe for the group. Remember that phase two is the hardest phase but phase three requires damage dealers to finish Prince off quickly. Bring whatever consumables the raid needs to be able to handle both phases quickly.
