4.TALENTS-4.4Part 31 to 40

Improved Flamestrike
Description:
Increases the critical strike chance of your flamestrike by a percentage
Ranks:
Rank 1- 5% increased critical strike chance
Rank 2- 10% increased critical strike chance
Rank 3- 15% increased critical strike chance

Usefulness:

Commentary:
Flamestrike is a rather situational AOE and an extra bit of crit is not very worth it in my opinion. There are much better talents you can get already so feel free to skip this.

Pyroblast
Description:
Hurls an immense fiery boulder that causes damage and a damage over time effect to the target.
Ranks:
Rank 1- 148 to 195 initial damage and 54 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 2- 193 to 250 initial damage and 72 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 3- 270 to 343 initial damage and 96 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 4- 347 to 437 initial damage and 124 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 5- 427 to 536 initial damage and 156 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 6- 525 to 654 initial damage and 188 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 7- 625 to 776 initial damage and 228 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 8- 743 to 918 initial damage and 268 DOT over 12 seconds
Rank 9- 877 to 1087 initial damage and 324 DOT over 12 seconds
Usefulness:

Commentary:
The only thing wrong with this ability is the long cast time. While the damage may be huge, the cast time makes its overall DPS lower than that of fireball. If you combine it with presence of mind though it becomes far more powerful. If you don't have PoM you will only be able to use it at the start of a fight.

Burning Soul
Description:
Gives your fire spells a chance to avoid losing casting time when taking damage and reduces your threat from fire spells.
Ranks:
Rank 1- 35% chance to not lose casting time and reduces threat by 5%
Rank 2- 70% chance to not lose casting time and reduces threat by 10%
Usefulness:

Commentary:
If you are going to do any type of PVE activities as fire you will need the threat reduction. Without it you will have to back off on your DPS and won't be nearly as effective. The spell knock back resistance is also great for casting fast spells like scorch or long spells like fireball.

Improved Scorch
Description:
Gives your scorch spells a chance to make your target vulnerable to fire damage, increasing fire damage by 3%. Stacks five times
Ranks:
Rank 1- 33% to make the target vulnerable to fire
Rank 2- 66% to make the target vulnerable to fire
Rank 3- 100% to make the target vulnerable to fire
Usefulness:

Commentary:
Who can say no to an extra 15% fire damage? Fully talented you will need to cast it five times to get the whole effect, but if you are in a group with other fire mages you will be able to apply the effect together. If you are fighting alone you will only want to use it one or two times while the target is running towards you.

Molten Shields
<MDescription:
Causes your fire ward to have a chance to reflect fire spells and gives your molten shield a chance to effect ranged and magic attacks
Ranks:
Rank 1- 10% chance to reflect, 50% chance to effect molten armor
Rank 2- 20% chance to reflect, 100% chance to effect molten armor
Usefulness:

Commentary:
This is so situational it isn't really any use. You can't rely on it to save you and you will not run into fire damage often enough to make it worth the two point investment. The extra effect for molten armor makes it somewhat more useful. But you will still have to be taking damage for it to be effective, and in the end you should be trying to avoid that at all costs.

Master of Elements
Description:
Your fire and frost critical strikes return a percentage of their base mana.
Ranks:
Rank 1- Return 10% base mana
Rank 2- Return 20% base mana
Rank 3- Return 30% base mana
Usefulness:

Commentary:
This is a great ability for improving your mana efficiency. The more crit you have the more effective it will be. It is most effective in long fights like in raids, so you won't need it very much in solo or PVP.

Playing with Fire
Description:
Increases all spell damage caused by a percentage and all spell damage taken by percentage
Ranks:
Rank 1- 1% increase
Rank 2- 2% increase
Rank 3- 3% increase
Usefulness:

Commentary:

If you are protected from taking damage with some kind of tank this will be useful. But if you are soloing or PVPing this is very dangerous to take.

Critical Mass
Description:
Increases your chance to critically strike with fire spells.
Ranks:
Rank 1- 2% extra critical strike chance
Rank 2- 4% extra critical strike chance
Rank 3- 6% extra critical strike chance
Usefulness:

Commentary:
An extra 6% crit for three talent points is incredible. All builds will be able to use it so definitely take it.

Blast Wave
Description:
Causes AOE fire damage around the casters position and dazing all enemies
Ranks:
Rank 1- 160 to 192 damage
Rank 2- 201 to 241 damage
Rank 3- 365 to 433 damage
Rank 4- 365 to 433 damage
Rank 5- 462 to 544 damage
Rank 6- 640 to 754 damage
Usefulness:

Commentary:
This is an excellent PVP ability, especially when combined with impact. When you are fighting in a crowded area like a resource node it can cause a lot of havoc. Or you can use it if your frost nova is on cool down and you need to escape. It is is not very useful in raids or instancing, but it can be a useful farming tool.

Blazing Speed
Description:
Whenever you are hit with a melee or ranged attack you have a chance of increasing your movement speed by 50% for eight seconds
Ranks:
Rank 1- 5% chance of increasing speed
Rank 2- 10% chance of increasing speed
Usefulness:

Commentary:

Whenever you are being hit by melee it is time to hightail it out of there. This is especially true in PVP and with a well timed frost nova, you can get clear of your enemy and start casting from afar again.
