3.6.5. The Items
Items
There are a total of 9 items in the game:
- Bandage
- Rock
- Rope
- Explosive Potion
- Pickaxe
- Barricade
- Tool Kit
- Tinderbox
- Bucket of water
Here I will list a brief summary of the usage of each item.
-~=Bandage=~–
Bandages are use to recover back your hit points. You can also use them on other
players from your side. Stock up on a lot of these as you’ll most likely need them when the
occasion arises. Heals approximately 8hp per usage.
-~=Rock=~-
Rocks are use as ammos to operate the catapult on your side’s castle. I will
explain more on the use of catapults below in the tactics/objects section.
-~=Rope=~-
A rope can be use from the bottom of a battlement. You can then climb up the rope
but you can’t climb back down.
-~=Explosive Potion=~-
Explosive Potion can use on barricades to destroy them quickly and easily. Can’t
be use on players. Also use to destroy the rocks blocking the trails in the underground
passage and opponent’s catapults. Never drop an explosive potion or your character will
be damaged by the explosive impact it will create.
-~=Pickaxe=~-
Pickaxes are use to dig through the rocks blocking the trails in the underground
passage. They are also needed to collapse cave wall.
-~=Barricade=~-
These wooden objects are designed to black out an enemy’s path. Barricades are
great for blocking out the path of an enemy who has got your team’s flag. To set them up,
click on the “Set up Barricade” option. They can be destroyed by explosive potion,
catching on fire with a tinderbox, or players attack them. Only a number of 10 barricades
can be set up by each team. After that, no more can be set up unless one of the
barricades is destroyed.
-~=Toolbox=~-
A toolbox is use to fix broken down catapults and damaged doors.
-~=Tinderbox=~-
Tinderboxes are used to put enemy’s catapults on fire. After a period of time the
catapult will be destroyed unless the fire is put out. Barricades can also be put on fire.
-~=Bucket=~-
You can get a bucket from the first floor of a teams’ castle. Then you can fill it up
with water from the tap next to where you got the bucket. A bucket of water can be use to
put out catapults or barricades that are engulfed in flames out.
3.6.6. The Screen
Once the war starts some new icons and word texts will appear on your main
game play screen.
Here is what your new screen should look like. Look at the icons and the text next
to it often as it’ll help you out.
Note: Initials in parenthesis means that whatever appears right there can change
throughout the battle.

3.6.7. Tactics/Objects
-~=Catapults=~-
Catapults are war machines that can be operated on the top outer side of your
castle. In order to operate it you need rocks, which are use as the ammo that is shoots.
Rocks can be obtained on the item tables. You can not operate the other team’s catapult.
When operating a catapult, you’ll need to set the coordinates. To shoot at a location, you
need to click on the arrow which points to that direction. The X mark means the area of
effect it will hit. Once it reaches your desired target click on the “Fire Catapult” option and
your catapult will launch the rock at the X mark. Only 1 player may operate a catapult at a
time.
-~=Double-Door=~-
There are 3 possible entrances into each teams’ castle. One is through the front
double-door gate, another is through the castles’ side door, and the third is up the ladder
from the underground passage leading to the castle’s supply room.
You can not simply barge through an enemy’s front door. You’ll have to attack it
until it is broken down. You, however, can not tell when the enemy’s front door will break
open. Only players on the enemy’s team can. There is a double-door icon on the west
side of your screen. The percentage next to it will tell you how much health your castle’s
front door has left. If it reaches 1%, then the enemy will be able to open it.
-~=Side Door=~-
For your castle’s side door, there is also an icon on the west side of your screen. It
is symbolized by a vertical rectangle. The text next to it will indicate if the side door is
locked or unlocked. Only players on your side of the team may lock the door.
-~=Underground Passage=~-
You can gain entry to the underground passage by heading down the ladder in the
first floor of your castle, your enemy’s castle, or the 2 ladders on the small coastal island
in the middle of the battlefield. The underground passage way is a good trail to use when
you have the enemy’s flag and you’re bringing it back to your team’s standard flag stand.
Sometimes the cave will be collapsed so be sure to bring a pickaxe or explosive potions to
get rid of the obstacle.
-~=Ranging=~-
Ranging is a clever way to hit people from afar and is especially needed for castle
war. Rangers in castle war usually stand on top of the castles’ outer side where they can
range far out into the battlefront and inside of the castle. However, most rangers won’t be
wearing armors with high defense so this is your key to killing them.
Tips:
- If you have the enemy’s flag and you find yourself trapped with set up barricades
all around you, then you may want to use some explosive potions on them. If you
don’t have any and no one’s attacking, then wait until some of your teammates
come to aid or you can try to attack the barricades and get out. However, if many
enemy opponents are breaking through the barricades then all you can do is wait
for them to finish penetrating through and then make your great escape towards
your side’s castle immediately after you can get out.
- Always have couple of barricades with you. This way, whenever you have the
enemy’s flag and you’re running back to your own team’s standard stand, you can
set up the barricades as you go along and your opponents will be stuck because
they won’t be able to pass through. They will have to go around the barricade
which will give you more time to run away and not have a mob trailing behind you.
- Always carry 2 explosive potions. You might have to blow up some obstacles and
you’ll be happy when the need arise.
- Immediately attack anyone (except players on your team) who’s got your team’s
flag. You might not be able to kill that person, but if enough people attacks and
does some damage to that person, then your team will successfully gain back your
flag.
- Assist players on your team, especially those with a flag.
- If both yours and your enemy’s flag are safe, then try to infiltrate through their
castle and obtain it. You can’t win unless you have their flag.
- Run away whenever necessary. At the same time walk whenever you are idle so
that you can rejuvenate back your energy.
- If you are in the enemy’s castle and you have their flag then look at the 2 tunnel
icon on the left side of your screen. If one of them says “Cleared” then use the
underground passage way to get back to your castle. Remember to bring 2
explosive potions because even though the tunnel on your side of the field is
cleared, theirs might not.
- Use your allies and the different routes you could take as an advantage. Take the
path with the most players on your team, especially when escaping with the
enemy’s flag because odds are your allies will help to fend off the opponents who
are chasing you.
- Always look ahead of you. Use the scroll keys on your keyboard to do this. You
never know when there are barricades blocking your path or when a rock shot
from a catapult is about to hit you on the head.
- If you have the enemy’s flag and you’re about to die and you have no food or
bandages, then consider trying to give it to another player on your team who’s
near you and has full health. Remember, the object of this game is for YOUR team
to score the most points. The reward for winning is the same for everyone on your
side.
- Don’t take this game too seriously. Be sure to have fun.
