3.1.5. Cooking
The basic ingredient to cooking is food, of course. There are a lot of different

3.1.6. Mining
Mining is a very good money-making skill. All you need to begin mining is a
pickaxe. To mine, find a rock that can be prospected. Click on the option "Mine Rocks"
and your character will begin mining the ore out of that rock until he/she or another player
gets it. You can tell what kind of ore the rock contains by prospecting it. To do this, click
on the rock and then click on the option "Prospect Rocks". As your mining level increases,
you'll be able to mine more valuable ores. When you or another player has manage to
obtain an ore out of a rock you can no further be able to continue on mining that rock until
the ore has spawn there again. Mining is important because the ores that you get are use
in smithing. If you are lucky, you might even find a gem while mining on a rock.
Pickaxe
Pickaxes play an important role in mining. There are many different types of pickaxe.
A bronze pickaxe has the lowest quality, and a rune pickaxe has the highest quality,
hence, therefore is the most expensive. If you attempt to mine a rock with a bronze
pickaxe you will only attempt to mine it once with each click. However, as your mining
level increases you will be able to wield better and higher quality pickaxes. With each click
you will attempt to mine a rock more than once with higher quality pickaxes.
Note: Changing pickaxes when mining will decrease the chance of a random event
activating on you.
Picks

Ores

Note: Blurite ores are use in the Knight's Sword Quest. Clay, Gold, and Silver ores are
use in crafting. All other ores listed are use for smithing.
Here is a list of the types of gem you might encounter during your mining trip.
Gems

Training
Start off mining at tin or copper rocks until level 15. At level 15 you will be able to
mine iron ores, but don’t mine them yet because your chance rate of obtaining one is very
low. Keep mining tin or copper ores until you’re a couple levels higher than 15. Now mine
iron ores until around level 35. Then you can start mining coals, which is the real prize
procession in mining. Most players will continue mining coals to level up there mining level
from level 30.
Tips
- If you want to mine but also at the same time make money or get your smithing exp up,
then deposit the ores you obtain at a bank, and later withdraw them as notes if you’re
selling or smelt and forge the ores for some smithing exp.
- Make sure to fill up your inventory because a trip to the bank can take a rather long
time.
- If you just want mining exp then your best solution is to power mine iron ores. Stand
near 2 or 3 iron rocks and continue making your way around the rocks mining each one
along the way. When you have a full inventory then drop the ores or give them to nearby
players who’ll accept them.
- Don’t power mine coals because the rate of mining coals are slow, even if you are level
60, and even if you do obtain the coal it will only give you 15 more exp than being able to
get an iron ore, and the time it takes for you to obtain the coal is most likely longer for you
to mine 2 iron ores.
- Definitely do not power mine tin or copper ores because the exp you’ll get is not even
half as much as obtaining an iron ore.
- Most people will power mine until their level is 60 because once reaching level 60 they’ll
be able to enter the mining guild, which has tons of coal rocks and a few mithril rocks.
Being able to enter the mining guild will deplete the time it takes for you to obtain a full
inventory of coals anywhere else by a lot because there are many coal rocks, plus there is
a bank nearby to deposit them.
