1.Introduction

Runescape is a world-wide MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing
Game). It is a highly base game that contains quests, skills, pvp, pvm, plus a whole lot
more. You can also meet other people from all over the world on this game. Free-to-play
(f2p) is a server that anyone can try for free. Pay-to-Play (p2p) is provided for people who
want to get a little more action out of Runescape. People are considered members of
Runescape if they pay to play the game. To become a member, you are required to pay at
least $5 a month. Members receive more benefits and features including more quests,
skills, monsters, and eligible places.
1.1. How to play
- Mouse Button -
The mouse button option is located in your control option. You can access your
control option by clicking on the second to the right icon at the right bottom corner of your
game-play screen. You can either choose between one or two click. Not much
complicated using either option. I prefer choosing a two-button game because it is more
efficient.
- Walking -
To walk somewhere, just simply left-click on the place you want to go. You can
also do this in the mini-game map. In RS a red flag will appear at the spot you are walking
to on the mini-game map.
- Talking -
You talk in the game by typing in the words you want to say. Just simply type in the
words on the main screen and the text will appear in your chat box. To talk to a friend in
private, add the character’s account name to your friend’s list. Then click on that person
and type in the words you want to say. You can even talk to the npcs. Click on them and
choose the "Talk to _____" option and you will automatically walk towards that person and
speak with them. The options you can choose throughout the conversation are on the topleft
corner of your screen in RSC or in your chat box in RS.

- Your Friend’s List -
You can put certain people's name here so that you can speak privately to them. It
will also tell you if that player is logged on or off and what world the player is on. Your
friend’s list is located on the bottom-left corner. It is a symbol of a smiley face.
- Your Ignore List -
Adding specific people's name on here will block out any message that that player
sends privately to you.
- Your Character's Stats -
Your character’s stats are shown as the second icon. It shows the level and
experience of each of your character's skills and combat points.
- Experience and Level -
The experience effect the level of your character's stats. You can get exp for a stat
by completing a certain task or quest. As you get more exp, your level will increase and as
your level increase, you will have more options and benefits. The exp you get for each
task is really important when determining where and how you want to train.
- Player Option -
The player option is located on the bottom-right center of the game play. The little
running guy is the symbol for the player option. Click on the symbol and the player option
will appear on your inventory screen. This option allows you to give commands to your
character. You can tell him/her to run/walk or show his/her emotion. Your character's
energy and the weight they are carrying are also shown here.
- Control Option -
The control option is located as the second to the right icon on the right bottom
corner of your screen. Just click on the icon to access it. Then a chart of options will
appear. There are options that let you decide on the game’s music volume, effect volume,
brightness, control, and many others.

1.2. Tips
Follow these tips below for a better game-playing time and to not get you banned
- Don’t plead for money. It is quite easy to gain cash by yourself.
- In order to become better and be one of the best you must train.
- When training combat, stock up your inventory full of food.
- Don't use foul language. Multiple reports of this can get you banned.
- Don't bring valuable items into the wilderness. You might get killed and drop them.
- Don't scam! You can easily get banned for this.
- Never buy an account.
