In order to be effective, this money-making strategy requires the combined cooperation of several runecrafters and their fellow “runners“. The basic preliminary of this
skill is to run essences for the runecrafters, meaning to provide the crafters with the
essences they need in exchange for the runes they are able to craft or whatever they
deem to pay you with (most crafters may pay you in cash for the run). You don’t need to reach a specific skill level to be able to use this feature. All that this requires is your character, and a handful of rune essences (most players find it appropriate to carry a standard of 25 essences each run).

The first step into using this idea to your benefit is to find yourself a specific
Runescape world filled with a significant amount of runecrafters at a certain altar. You may find this task easy to do by visiting the Runescape Forum under the RS2 “Runes“ Marketplace. Locate a “Fast Free runes World (nature, law, etc.)“ and connect yourself to that world. These worlds frequently have several runecrafters available at their specific altars, meaning each of them may be busy 24/7. During the high point of a day, these altars and their surrounding areas may be congested with crafters, as well as buzzing with runners. Most new member players find it best to profit off of running for law or nature crafters as their starting income.
