Bones play an important role in leveling up a player’s prayer skill, because the only
way to level up the prayer skill is by burying bones. There are a few various types of bone which are available for burying. The process of collecting regular bones and then burying them is time consuming, so some players would rather buy the bones, but even just the process of burying the bones would take a quite awhile.

This is why big and dragon bones (dragon bones are only available to members) are considered the best when it comes to training prayer. Big bones give approximately 15
xp (each big bone buried equals to around 31/2 regular bones) and can be obtained by all giants. For this reason, big bones are valuable and are priced at about 300-450gps each.For members, dragon bones, which are much more valuable than big bones, are priced at more than 2k a piece, and can give a player approximately 72 prayer exp each. By using this strategy, not only will you make money for selling the bones but you’ll also gain combat experience for killing the monsters that drop the bones.

There are many good areas where giants are located. Although there are a total of 4 types of giants, f2p players only have access to 3 of them. If you use a brass key on the shack east of Edgeville dungeon and use that trail to deposit the big bones when training with regular giants, you’ll be able to make up to 50k per hour.

Dragon bones are also in high demand for members. Of course, as the name states, only dragons may drop dragon bones. Also, not only do dragons drop off their bones, but they also give off their hides, which are very useful and valuable to skilled crafters. The Green Dragons can be found near various targeted places in the wild. Blue Dragons can be found in the Members Dungeon south of Taverly, and there is also one entrapt Blue Dragon located in the dungeon of the Heroes’ Guild.
